Webinar - The African American Experience and Multiple Sclerosis
Research indicates that African Americans with multiple sclerosis tend to have more diverse symptoms at diagnosis and a more aggressive disease course than Caucasians with MS. Recognizing the need to address this critically important issue, MSAA invites you to attend our live, free webinar, “The African American Experience and Multiple Sclerosis,” on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern.
As the third installment of the Health Disparity in the MS Community series, this digital educational program will be presented by MS expert neurologist Mitzi Joi Williams, MD. Dr. Williams is the leading expert in understanding multiple sclerosis in underserved and ethnic minority populations. She is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of research participation and encouraging diversity in clinical trial research.
