Meet Your Hosts
Artist and MSAA Art Showcase participant Hope Angel is a local Pacific Northwest artist specializing in original acrylic paintings. Utilizing her cozy, eclectic art studio in Seattle, she enjoys adding unique perspectives to her designs to make each piece truly memorable. The inspiration of the endless natural wonders that the Pacific Coast offers feeds her diverse and varied art — from seascapes and landscapes, to abstract flowers and bridges, and much more!
Take an imaginary journey with her through her paintings as she explores the disappearing art of empathy through ironically colorful expressions.
Also joining in the fun will be art enthusiast and docent tour guide from our 50th Anniversary Night at the Barnes Foundation — Joe Caliva, who will be providing commentary and facts about art while Hannah paints along with you. Joe is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area native and an interdisciplinary artist who credits music as his “gateway drug” through which his lifetime love of all the arts began. In addition to his Liberal Arts and Humanities interests, he enjoys regularly studying philosophy, languages, and science. Joe recently became a docent at The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia — adding another outlet through which he can share his passion for the arts.
